Lazy DIY - I made coasters!

These were so ridiculously easy that I almost feel like I didn't really do anything.  I had these old cork coaster from Ikea sitting around so I thought "hey, I'm bored.  I could do something with those".  And I did.  I also had some ancient acrylic paints (good news, they still work!) lying around.  You take the coasters and use some skinny masking tape to make some simple shapes.  I used 3 per coaster.  Just tape some shapes.  Then take some acrylic paint and paint them.  Let them dry and then peel off the tape.  The only thing I had to buy was some acrylic spray lacquer (glossy) and sprayed a few coats on 'em.  Presto!  Coasters!

So that's it.  I made these too. You can probably get some cork squares from the hardware store or craft store or something and cut them out.  They don't have to be perfect, nobody cares. I cannot guarantee the longevity of these but I'm sure they'll make me happy for as long as they last.  They're cute and fun and if they get messed up, they get messed up.  They were only plain cork to begin with.
